How this collection got made.
Leaf study plot is the pen plotter version of the Leaf study digital piece. The original sketch grows a leaf in three systems: a vein skeleton by space colonization, a Voronoi tissue fill, and particles that run along the veins. For the plot, only the final static result is kept.
Each leaf is drawn in three pen layers, cells first and particles last, so every layer can be inked in its own colour. The edge of the leaf is never drawn: it emerges from where the cells and veins stop.
