Pattern grid : Beach sky
Recently I was diving into Piet Mondrian's work.I've always been fascinated by his geometrical creations. So I thought I would make a humble homage to the Master, by offering my generative interpretation of "Composition with Red Blue and Yellow". First I fragmented the print in many rectangles, that would give a feel of Piet Mondrian's work. It's a recursive function that will split a rectangle into sub-rectangles with different proportions, until it reaches a predefined limit. Then, instead of filling the rectangle with a solid colour, I took a pattern approach. Some rectangles are filled with lines, others with dots. They can look organic, or on the contrary very geometrical.
